Meet Adam

Indie Folk Singer-Songwriter

   Adam Mathew Shilton is a new indie folk singer- songwriter in Ottawa, Ontario. Fresh off being selected by Mikhail Laxton to be mentored and provide the opening support for the 613 Soul Concert Series  Adam has started to focus on releasing and performing his original songs. Motivated and inspired by the enthusiastic response at his debut show Adam is starting to record and release his songs to see where they can take him.

  Adam draws on his eclectic musical influences, life experiences and familial successes, hardships and tragedies to craft songs that are emotionally honest, heartfelt and relatable.

The debut release from Adam Mathew Shilton will be out soon on all streaming platforms, band camp and with physical copies as well. Despite featuring songs of tragedy, loss and despair it still remains hopeful as the Hemingway referenced title suggests. This is a deeply personal album a long time in the making and it touches on the tragic loss of people in his life, addiction, mortality, jealousy as well as love, and redemption. Recorded at home with a USB mic and a laptop you are getting just the songs themselves with his guitar and voice just as he wrote them.
